2017 Oscars A crazy mix up between who won Best Picture. Oscar Mix Up! There was chaos for a few moments last night when Oscar history was made following the announcement of the wrong winner for Best Picture. Famous leading man Warren Beatty began, "For Best Picture..." And then he looked at the envelope, paused and looked at Faye Dunaway. Dunaway laughed, called him impossible and announced  La La Land  as the winner. The stage immediately filled with the cast and crew - but also with Oscar producers. When  La La Land  producer Jordan Horowitz was advised of the mistake, he explained, "I'm sorry, there's a mistake.  Moonlight , you guys won best picture." Amid the confusion, producer Marc Platt reiterated, "This is not a joke. They read the wrong thing." Check out this article in Life News...

By: Justin Mitchell, LAWKI Founder & Publisher Is Janet Jackson Pregnant? By: Justin Mitchell LAWKI Founder & Publisher She might be pregant, the global icon posted to Twitter with a video saying that her and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, are "planning" a family. That could mean many different things. It could mean that she's pregnant! Yay Janet. Or it could mean she is going to adopt. We really don't know cause she's not spilling the tea just yet. All we know is that Janet's fans are sad that she had to postpone her tour because she was ordered by her doctors to do so. I clearly understand how Janet feels. The doctors and Janet as well as her husband want to make sure the baby is safe. In December, she announced that she would hold her tour until the spring so she could have an unidentified surgery. A month later she had to clear the air about rumors that she had CANCER! She loves her fans and tells them not to believe everything that the...

10 years of Hannah Montana ______*______ By: Justin Mitchell, Founder of Life As We Know It: Teen Blog It's been 10 years of Hannah Montana believe it or not! I can't believe that it's been that long. We can all truly say that Hannah (Miley Stuart) was the person we all wanted to be, a famous singer who disguises her self as a regular kid. How cool is that. We all poured our our heart and tears when the series ended. The show ran from 2006-2011. Five years of pure memories and laughter. From Miley and Lilly's friendship. To Miley and her dad's lovable moments. Hannah Montana was beast!

Today, fellow teens, is World Poetry Day. We decided to make our own poem for you. Enjoy! Maleeka is shy of her skin ‘Cause she doesn’t know the skin that she’s in Be who you are You are black You are smart Separate yourself from the negative And be your own executive Love the skin that you’re in Why try and be someone you're not? People are always talking about you Collect your thoughts Why try and have lighter skin Be you Love the skin that you’re in Be confident in your skin Walk with your head held high Try and  touch the sky Denying the lies Love the skin that you’re in Black Girls rock if you didn’t know Having a low self esteem just doesn’t need to grow We must become stronger And learn to stand up to the negatives a little longer Love the skin that you’re in Because I love the skin that I’m in

Chinese insurer Anbang is set to acquire hotel operator  Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide  for about $13.2 billion, the firm's biggest push yet into the global real estate market. Anbang's approach to Starwood first became public earlier this week, and Starwood said Friday it had determined Anbang's offer was superior to a deal struck last year with Marriott. It struck a $12.2 billion deal to buy Starwood in November. Mariott said in a statement that it continues to believe it is a better merger partner and that it is considering its options. Sources told CNBC that Marrio...
